Our history
The aim of the Foundation is to increase transparency of public life, support civic activity, increase citizen awareness of their rights and foster the development of civil society. The Foundation conducts activities to promote the idea of domestic election observation in Poland and abroad; to unify the standards for citizen election observation in Poland, and to improve the integrity of elections in Poland and the wider CEE region. The Foundation also organises its own election observation missions - offline and online, through videoobservation.
Board members and experts cooperating with the Foundation are experienced election observers who have participated in multiple election observation missions on behalf of the OSCE or the European Union, both as short-term and long-term observers and as members of the core team.
The Foundation is a member of networks of European election observation organisations (the European Platform for Democratic Elections and the European Network of Election Monitoring Organisations), as well as networks of civil society organisations from Central and Eastern Europe: the Civil Society Forum and the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.
The Foundation subscribes to and adheres to the recommendations contained in the Declaration of Global Principles for Nonpartisan Election Observation and Monitoring by Citizen Organizations.
